Met Eireann’s issued a number of weather warnings for Monday as the end of Hurricane Ophelia is due to hit our shores.
A red wind warning will be in place for Galway, Mayo, Clare, Kerry and Cork, with an orange warning across Carlow and Kilkenny and the rest of the country.
Carlow County Council say their engineers are on high alert ahead of Hurricane Ophelia.

The Hurricane looks set to hit Ireland by Monday, bringing with her gusts of up to 120 kilometres per hour and heavy rain.
The Road Safety Authority is urging drivers to plan their journeys very carefully.
Meanwhile, In a statement to KCLR News, Carlow’s County Council says their area engineers and water services engineers spent all day yesterday assessing how prepared they are to respond.
They say that should there be any emergency calls from locals in Carlow in relation to flooding they can contact the normal council number on 059 9170300.
