The cost of rent around the country is now 30% higher than it was at the peak of the Celtic Tiger.
A new report from Daft.ie shows that the average monthly rent in the third quarter of this year is now over 1 thousand 3 hundred euro.

Locally that breaks down as €898 in Carlow, up 9.5%, and €930 in Kilkenny, a rise of 9.4%.
