Over €6 million in LEADER funding allocated for rural developments in Carlow

A number of community groups have been granted funding so they can now pay their employees the new minimum wage.

Castlecomer Demesne Company, Kilkenny LEADER Partnership Company, Danesfort Community Care Centre, Gowran Parish Enterprise Group, the Kilkenny Community Communications Co-Op, and St Canice’s Community Action Company are all getting a share.

Delta Centre is the only Carlow company in the mix.

The funding is to allow the groups to pay their staff the increased minimum wage of €9.80 per hour
