Businesses in Thomastown are hoping to get answers today to any outstanding questions they have about the upcoming culvert works.
After a public meeting last week turned heated, it was agreed that the contractor would meet with representatives this afternoon.
The 16 weeks of works are due to start this Friday.
Local Councillor Breda Gardner says it’s important local get the chance to communicate their concerns directly.
Speaking to KCLR News she said “They had asked the question could night time works be done, I’m told it can’t but the businesses need to hear it from the contractors & the reasons why they cannot do night time work. To me it’s all about communicate, communicate, clear communication”.
Cllr Michael Doyle’s been telling KCLR News “the businesses were not shy in explaining their concerns, hopefully the contractor will take that on board”.
