A 16 year old boy’s in a serious condition at St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny after a stabbing in Carlow Town overnight.
The male is being treated for serious injuries having suffered apparent stab wounds in an assault at a house in The Fairways estate at 4:30am this morning.

Another male teen was arrested and conveyed to Carlow Garda Station where he is detained under Section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Superintendent Aidan Brennan says a number of possible crime scenes were sealed off:
“Our initial investigation brought us to the nearby Fairways housing estate and we have since sealed off a house in that estate and that has been preserved for a technical examination” he said
