A 12 year low for St Lukes General Hospital for Carlow and KIlkenny for patients waiting on trollies in July

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwifes Organisation the hospital was one of the lowest for the month of July with only 63 waiting for a bed compared to 337 for the same period last year

Nationally over 9,755 people, including 73 children, were treated on a trolley, chair or other inappropriate bed space in Irish hospitals last month

The INMO daily figures show that St Lukes had no patients waiting on trollies since 11th July
