Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a serious road crash in South Kilkenny last Saturday.
At about 7:30pm emergency services were called to the incident involving a motorbike and a pedestrian on the N24 in Mooncoin village.
The man who was on foot and is aged in his eighties, was taken to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of serious injuries and has since been transferred to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin.
No other injuries were reported.
Anybody in the area at the time or who travelled on the N24 between 7pm and 8pm and has camera footage is asked to contact Gardaí.
