Kilkenny County Council is inviting public input on an exciting new project: a riverside recreational and boating complex in Kilkenny City.
This initiative is planned for a 0.24-hectare site within the grounds of County Hall at College Park, John Street Lower.
The proposed design includes a single-storey facilities block featuring a green roof. This block will offer essential amenities such as toilets, accessible bathrooms, changing places, shower cubicles, a cleaner’s store, outdoor showers, storage lockers, a wash trough, and a drying room.
In addition, a community block will be constructed, also single-storey with an asymmetrical pitched roof. This space will include a community room, kitchenette, plant room, and a central information point, complemented by an external covered terrace with a green roof.
Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to participate in the consultation process to help shape this project.
