Kilkenny Youthreach students were recognised at the Mission Possible School Achievement Awards for their efforts in promoting positive mental health.
The awards celebrate schools and groups across Ireland for fostering mental health and wellbeing.
They won first prize in the Further Education and Training (FET) category for their wellbeing initiatives, including mental health awareness programs, a sensory room, and various projects promoting inclusivity.
Speaking to KCLR News coordinator Michelle Murphy gave details of where their winning prize money of one thousand euro will be spent
“So we’re now in the fortunate position to have that money to spend on audio and visual equipment for our sensory room”
