14,500 households in Carlow and Kilkenny to get fuel allowance from today

14,500 local households are to get the Fuel Allowance from today.

7,779 homes in Kilkenny and 6,735 in Carlow are among 410,000 nationwide to get the means-assessed payment which will be paid for 28 weeks to help people meet rising energy costs.

You can opt for the weekly rate of €33 or two installments of €462 each.
