Man taken to hospital in Kilkenny after being rescued from river in Carlow town

A man was taken to St Luke’s General Hospital after being assisted out of the river in Carlow town.

Emergency services attended the scene at Graiguecullen Bridge at about 2am this morning.

They’ve confirmed to KCLR News that the hospital trip was as a precaution.
