Motorist clocked at 149km/h on M9 as gardaí urge all in Carlow and Kilkenny to take extra care this Bank Holiday Weekend

Drivers are being urged to drive safely this bank holiday weekend.

138 people have tragically been killed on our roads this year and we’re being urged not to add to this number over the next few days.

Roads Policing Unit members will have numerous checkpoints across the region and already they detected one motorist travelling 149km per hour on the M9 at Danesfort.
