Localised flooding likely in parts of Carlow and Kilkenny with both under a weather warning

Carlow and Kilkenny are among six counties under a status yellow rain warning.

It took effect at midnight and runs to midday, also in Wexford, Wicklow, Waterford and Cork.

Met Éireann’s forecasting persistent rain which will be heavy at times.

Impact of this could include localised flooding, difficult travel conditions and poor visibility.
