Kilkenny businnessman looking to build headquarters of multi-national company on the Ring Road

A Kilkenny software technology group is looking to build a major development on the outskirts of the city.

CluneTech has applied to the local authority for planning to construct a new headquarters in the IDA Business & Technology Park on the Ring Road.

The proposed plans is for an new eight-storey office building which includes a rooftop amenity terrace, a facilities management store, a secure bicycle shelter, ESB substation and switchroom.

CluneTech employs 1,200 across 20 countries. A decision on the application is due in January.
