Judo star who’s well known in the Carlow Kilkenny area places well in Deaflympics

A locally based Judo star has placed highly in the Deaflympics in Tokyo.

Ballinkillen based Shona Maguire, who’s with Kilkenny Judo, was the first Irish person to compete in the sport at the international event which continues to the 25th of the month.

She’s placed fifth.
