We’re being told to wrap up well over the next few days.
A major cold snap is on the way between now and Friday.
It will be bitterly cold, with the possibility of some light snow showers on high ground.
Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather says it could feel as cold at minus 9 or 10 degrees; “The wind chill is really going make if feel bitterly, bitterly cold, so the wind will go northerly from this evening and when it does it’s gonna make it feel an awful lot colder especially really it’s mainly Wednesday and Thursday and early on Friday that we’re really going to feel this cold air”.
