A staggering €4million was raised during last night’s Late Late Toy Show.
The Grinch theme didn’t put people off from digging deep as heart strings were tugged at numerous points throughout the annual programme.
Talent from across the country, including from Spotlight Stage School in Carlow and Kilkenny city’s Alize’s School of Singing.
If you’ve not yet seen it, we’ll not ruin the surprises of star guests, super singing and dancing and more – watch it on the RTÉ Player here.
Details on where last night’s funds will go can be found here.
Meanwhile, Team KCLR is doing what it can to help those in need locally – the Kilkenny Lions Christmas Appeal radio auctions generated €22,000 during the week, the KCLR Breakfast Calendar in aid of the Carlow Kilkenny Home Care Team is out and the Toy Drive & Gift Giver is underway – for this you can drop of books, colouring books/pencils etc, toys to KCLR HQ for the children’s ward at St Luke’s General Hospital for Carlow and Kilkenny and also consider offering the present of choice with vouchers for a toy shop, supermarket or other outlet for those being supported by Amber and Carlow Women’s Aid.
