Carlow’s impressive start to their Division 4 campaign continued at the weekend, with three wins from three leaving them sitting proudly at the top of the table.
Despite the perfect return so far, Carlow manager Joe Murphy insists there is still room for improvement, saying his side must cut out errors as the league progresses.
Carlow now turn their attention to a home clash with Waterford this Saturday evening, with throw-in at 5pm at Netwatch Cullen Park. Live coverage of the game will be available on KCLR, thanks to Dan Morrissey & Co.
Speaking after the latest victory, Murphy praised his team’s resilience, even when things didn’t go exactly to plan.
“Things go wrong in the game, it’s in the blueprint — we know that’s going to happen, and no one ever played, not even David Clifford, the perfect game.
The resilience — I like that. Even though a couple of things may have gone wrong on them, they still stood up and showed leadership when it was necessary.
So we’re still undefeated, six points out of three games. We can’t do much more than that.”
With momentum firmly behind them, Carlow will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten run as they continue their push at the top of Division 4.
