Family and friends of Linda Costello will gather for her funeral this morning after she was assaulted in her home in Carlow just over two weeks ago.
Emergency services were called to a residence on Bridge Street in Graigecullen at 6am on Thursday 26th March last.
The 54 year old mother-of-two was taken to St Lukes Hospital for Carlow Kilkenny and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. However, she passed away on Friday, April 10th.
A man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the investigation but has since been released.
Ms Costello funeral takes place this morning at St Clare’s Church in Graiguecullen at 11am.
Ms Costello is survived by her two children, Ben and Amy and their father Larry, parents Ronnie and Patricia, and her sister Samantha.
