Kilkenny Councillors get ‘full briefing’ from Uisce Éireann team in long-awaited meeting

An increased water supply to Castlecomer will permit the development of businesses and the long-awaited construction of new residential units – but we’re not quite there yet.

In a long-awaited meeting with elected members at County Hall, Uisce Éireann said it intends to boost water supply to the town and its environs through a new piped link between the Radestown water plant in the city and the Muckalee Reservoir.

Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat Fitzpatrick told KCLR News’ Dermot Keyes that the local focus has now switched to a timeline for delivery of this project;
