Arrest made following lunchtime crash on the Kilkenny/Waterford border

There was traffic disruption in Ferrybank this lunchtime.

Gardaí were called to a single vehicle crash on the Abbey Road shortly after 1pm.

The driver was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving while under the influence of an intoxicant.

Investigations are ongoing and anyone who may have witnessed the crash or may have dashcam footage is asked to contact Waterford Garda Station on 051 305300
