The Carlow Kilkenny Sinn Féin TD’s been outlining concerns at how more than 3,500 bed days were lost at the local General Hospital in 2025.
The figures for St Luke’s released through a parliamentary question to Natasha Newsome Drennan and the details relate to patients who are medically fit to leave hospital but cannot be discharged because home care or nursing home supports are not in place.
It’s claimed almost 11,000 bed days have been lost at the hospital over the past three years.
