Carlow Youth Awards set to celebrate some of the best locally later

Local winners of the Garda Youth Awards are receiving their honours in Carlow later today.

They’ll be presented at a gala event this evening in the Woodford Dolmen Hotel.

It follows a successful event for the Waterford-Kilkenny division last week.

Inspector Conor Nolan told KCLR News; “It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to bring together some amazing young people in our community, from youth groups, schools and individuals, and a real opportunity to recognise their achievements within the community and making all our communities a better place”.
