A newly formed community group is calling for what it calls unprecedented scrutiny of plans to develop what it claims would be one of the world’s first hydrogen storage facilities of its scale in a county Carlow village.
Rathrush Green Energy Park aims to be located in the Rathoe area.
Chairperson of the Rathoe Community Group, engineer and local resident Dr David Allen outlined his group’s pleas on The KCLR Daily (10am-1pm) – you can listen back to that here;
Meanwhile, the company behind the proposed project has moved to allay any fears and is set to host a public information event next Wednesday (12th August).
We’ll also hear a statement from them on The KCLR Daily and if you’ve something to add please text/whatsapp straight to studio: 083 306 96 96.
