Tributes Paid Following Passing Of Kilkenny Musician Cat Dowling

Tributes are being paid from across the Irish music community following the passing of Kilkenny native Cat Dowling.

The singer-songwriter from Newrath in Ferrybank died on the 7th of August in St Francis Hospice in Blanchardstown, Dublin.

Catherine was the daughter of the late local councillor Dick Dowling.

Senator Malcolm Noonan said she was a unique talent, a real innovator, creating a sound all of her own and drawing huge respect across the music scene.
