Residents of Rathoe turned out in force last night to discuss their concerns regarding the proposed Rathrush Green Energy Park.
The plan is for a Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) facility which would store green energy made from surplus renewable energy that would otherwise be lost. It’s claimed an estimated 180,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per annum would be saved which has been equated to taking about 40,000 cars off the road.
But those close to the site earmarked are seeking answers to a range of questions.
Many turned out for their latest meeting which came ahead of tomorrow evening’s public information session organised by the company behind the project:
