The next potential academic step for more than 2,000 students in Carlow and Kilkenny will be revealed today.
CAO offers for college places will be emailed in batches from midday with the portal release from 2pm. (More here).
It’s the first year of a number of new courses, including the new locally based veterinary degrees at the South East Technological University (SETU) as well as at ATU, and Medicine in UL.
Waterford Guidance Counsellor Barry Rushe, says people shouldn’t ignore the available places option; “So my main point would be, you know, to think clearly about it, it is an offer, ask yourself if you want to do it and you can be offered a higher preference course in a subsequent round and I think that’s worth remembering, so again I’d be stressing to people not to panic, think things through clearly and remember there are subsequent CAO rounds over the next couple of weeks as well”.
