Man killed in west Waterford crash involving a car and a bus

One person’s dead following a crash in county Waterford.

The incident involving a bus and a car on the N25 happened just before 8pm last night at Kinsalebeg, between Dungarvan and Youghal.

The car driver, a man aged in his mid-sixties, was pronounced dead at the scene while all of the bus’ occupants were medically assessed with no serious injuries reported.

The road was closed for a technical examination but has now reopened.

Gardaí want to speak to anybody who was travelling the route between Grange and Pilltown Cross at any stage from 7:30pm to 8pm, in particular those with footage of any type.

It’s the second death on roads in the south east on Sunday.
