Motorcyclist dead following collision with van in county Wexford

One person’s dead following a road crash in County Wexford.

Gardaí and emergency services personnel were called to the R736 near Wellington Bridge where a van and motorcycle had been in collision at about 3pm yesterday afternoon (Sunday, 20th Sept).

The motorcyclist, a man aged in his fifties, was pronounced dead at the scene while the van driver did not require immediate hospital treatment.

The route was closed for a technical examination but has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anybody who was on the stretch at the time and who witnessed what happened or who has footage of any form to contact them.
