Carlow County Council personnel are asking dog owners to act responsibly and clean up after their pets.
It follows complaints on social media regarding dog fouling at St Mary’s Cemetery in Carlow town.
The local authority spokesperson says they received 13 complaints relating to dog fouling so far this year, compared with six complaints in the whole of 2025 – last week we reported on Vision Ireland’s research that showed there were no fines issued in the county, or in Kilkenny, during that year (that led to Kilkenny County Council calling for pet owners to take more responsibility).
