South Kilkenny group urge people to be more environmentally conscious

A Kilkenny environmental group are encouraging people to be more environmentally conscious after their recent roadside clean-up.

Members and volunteers from the Kilmacow GLAS group collected litter from around the village as part of a recent initiative which they hope will raise awareness around the impact rubbish has on local wildlife.

But just days later, it seems more items have been dropped off in the locality.

Therese Myslinski from the group has been telling KCLR News’ Owain Comerford that they hope the clean-up and other initiatives will encourage people to think differently about how their decisions may harm the local ecosystem;
