Glen Rwodzi – an ED doctor at St Lukes. He is also a country singer currently signed with Next Music label (exclusive distributor). He is Based in Kilkenny and lives in Goresbridge. He is only in Ireland 2 months. He was born in Zimbabwe and raised in South Africa following Zimbabwe’s economic collapse in 2008. During a period of immense change, music became his escape and, eventually, his voice. His father bought him his first guitar in 2010, and Glen taught himself to play. Before long, he was writing songs about everything happening around him. His musical journey didn’t stop at songwriting.
While studying medicine, Glen taught himself how to produce and perform, spending his weekends playing at bars, markets, and wine farms to earn pocket money. What started as a side hustle became a lifelong tradition—and one that continued even after he qualified as a medical doctor. He has a new song that will be available on the 25th of September on all streaming platforms. It’s already been registered, submitted and pitched. It is a deep country ballad about a young man who left his small town to chase his dreams in the big city. It’s a song called “The Price”
