Mary started a busy show by interviewing Padraig Noughton. Padraig is the Director of Arts & Disability Ireland, and he was talking about access to the arts for those with disabilites.
Next up, Ruth McCreevy was on with Mary to talk about captioning for those who are hard of hearing. Ruth prepares captions of live performances in theatre to show up on caption units.
Moe Portsmouth then joined Mary on the phone to talk about captioning in the theatre. It’s a service she provides for those with sight and sound disabilities at the George Bernard Shaw Theatre where people can access audio descriptions of whats going on.
Mary’s final guest was Hannah Mullen. Hannah is a representative from the GB Shaw Theatre to discuss how the venue supports disabled peoples experiences in the theatre.
Should you wish to use the facility, you should contact George Bernard Shaw Theatre to make them aware of your requirements.
