Connacht beat Italian side Zebre in Pool 3 of the Heineken Cup earlier.
They ran out 20-3 winners, which means they still have a chance of playing in the knock-out stages of this season’s Amlin Challenge Cup.
Despite some early doubt, Leicester beat Benetton Treviso 34-19 in Italy.
The win reduces Ulster’s lead at the top of Pool 5 to just two points, ahead of the sides’ clash next Saturday at Welford Road.
Meanwhile, it’s believed that Sean O’ Brien is in France this evening to meet with representatives from Toulon, with a view to a potential move there next summer.
O’Brien’s contract at Leinster expires this summer and it’s believed Toulon are interested in signing the Leinster flanker.
He is currently sidelined with a dislocated shoulder, which will keep him out of action for four months.
