Murphy captains Waterford IT as they secure semi final spot in Fitzgibbon Cup

There was strong representation from Kilkenny as Waterford IT booked a place in the Fitzgibbon cup semi finals yesterday.

They needed extra time to get the better of DIT but ran out eventual winners on a scoreline of 1-21 to 1-14 – Cathal Kenny of Barrow Rangers getting 3 points.

Kilkenny goalkeeper Eoin Murphy captained the side from the Centre back position and said they made a good start to extra time which helped them seal the win.
