McGuinness says Justice Minister needs to consider his position as Garda Commissioner resigns

John McGuinness says the Justice Minister now needs to consider his position following the resignation of the Garda Commissioner this morning.

Martin Callinan told Alan Shatter of his decision this morning to step down.

It comes in the wake of the penalty points and whistleblower controversies.

Deputy McGuinness who chairs the Public Accounts Committee says the heat is now Minister Shatter now.
