Work on the Central Access Scheme is restarting this morning but Kilkenny County Council say they don’t know when the bridge will be finished.
High Court injunctions stopping all work on the the controversial project and the new Ossory pedestrian bridge were lifted yesterday evening.
Kilkenny County Council is estimating that all the delays due to the anti-CAS protests and the injunction have already cost the local authority over half a million Euro.
And acting chief executive of the council, John Mullholland, says that they will have to completely revise their schedule for completing the job as they are due to finish the current stage shortly due to regulations on salmon spawning.
