Rathvilly are Carlow senior football champions after a 2-9 to 1-10 win over Old Leighlin.

Three goals in three minutes saw the sides level at half time at 1-6 to 2-3 but a brace of points at the start of the second half from the champions proved crucial and the champions held on for a famous victory
