People in Kilkenny are being urged to repair before replacing their old household items next week.
The city is set to host the first of three ‘Irish repair cafes’ where you can drop in some old items to volunteers who will try repair it for free.
The most common items that are usually thrown out by householders are lamps, children’s toys and toasters.
The initiative is being developed by the Southern Region waste management Office and is being held at Mc Donagh Junction next Saturday from 2-5pm.
