National road safety award for ‘Jakes Legacy’

The group set up in Kilkenny to campaign for lower speed limits in housing estates has picked up a national road safety award.

Jakes Legacy was set up by Roseann Brennan after her 6 year old son died when he was knocked down by a car in their housing estate in the city.

Roseann was awarded one the “leading lights in road safety” awards at an event in the Phoenix Park yesterday.
