3 men are in Custody in Carlow Garda Station this morning following a high speed chase overnight.
Gardaí were carrying out a routine crime prevention check when the BMW the men were driving failed to stop.

The chase commenced near Craan on the N80 Ballon to Bunclody road at 11:50pm.
Gardaí persued the vehicle towards Myshall where one garda car was rammed at the community centre.

The chase continued into Carlow town and the BMW headed towards Carlow Train Station before being stopped by Gardaí.
Another ramming took place and as a result 3 gardaí were taken by ambulance to St Lukes Hospital in Kilkenny.
They were later released with minor injuries.
The 3 men were arrested on St Joseph’s Road in Carlow a short time later.
