3 men arrested following a high-speed car chase in Carlow over the weekend will appear before a sitting of Kilkenny District Court this morning.
The chase, which left 3 gardaí in hospital began shortly before Midnight on Saturday when a car failed to stop at a routine checkpoint in Clonegal.
A number of patrol cars gave chase through Ballon, Myshall, Garyhill and Fenagh, before the car stopped in Carlow town and rammed two of the garda vehicles.
The Gardaí were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and a small amount of cocaine was recovered at the scene.
Three men were arrested and will appear before Kilkenny District Court at 10.30am this morning.
