Tradfest continues in Kilkenny this weekend

The jigs and reels continue in the city today as we’re into day two of the Kilkenny Trad Fest.

The festival, which is in it’s 3rd year, kicked off properly yesterday afternoon with workshops and gigs in most of the city venues.

The highlight of today’s schedule includes a concert by traditional band, ‘Sweeney’s Men’, in the Watergate Theatre this evening at 8pm.

Fans of the group might be particularly interested in tonight’s gig as founding member, Andy Irvine, tweeted about it during the week, saying “[It] may be the last time, I don’t know”.
