Garda investigation underway after car ploughs into Emergency Department at Waterford University Hospital

The Emergency Department at Waterford University Hospital is operating as normal today after a car crashed through the doorway last night.

There were no serious injuries as a result of the incident which happened shortly before midnight.

There was some damage to the doorway.

Gardai are investigating and the HSE says there’s no interruption to the service.
