The Renua Ireland candidate for the Carlow-Kilkenny by election in May could be a complete newcomer to politics.
Lucinda Creighton told KCLR Live they are still considering applications as part of the selection process.

Independent Carlow Councillor Walter Lacey is the only local politician to publicly declare his interest in joining the party BUT he has already ruled out running on May 22nd.
Ms Creighton acknowledged that and said they are still looking for someone.
