Myshall in Carlow could be the starting point for a new proposed historical walk in the name of Saint Columbanus.
This year marks the 1 thousand four hundredth anniversary of the death of the Carlow-born Saint who spent most of his life in Italy, where he is now buried.
A bell cast in his memory is in Myshall today before making its way further up the country.
Secretary of the Columbanus Commemoration Committee, Brigid Fox, told KCLR that plans are afoot to develop ‘The Columban Way’.
