Tributes are being paid following the death of Monsignor Tommy Maher.
The 92 year old died yesterday following an illness and he’s being remembered fondly by local communities.
His time as Kilkenny senior hurling coach was hugely successful – he led players like Eddie Keher, Ted Carroll, Tommy Murphy and Brian Cody to All Ireland titles.
His good friend Monsignor Michael Ryan says he was a very modest man, though.
