There was a tense finish to the Rathvilly versus Tinryland game in the Carlow Senior Football Championship.
Rathvilly had an 8 point lead at one stage but held on for a two point win despite a fight back from Tinryland.
The final score was 2-14 to 2-12.
The Mt. Leinster Rngs versus Kildavin-Clonegal was a close encounter and it was Eddie Byrnes penalty that helped Rngs to a four point win, 1-11 to 10 points.
It means Palatine and Rathvilly are through to the semi-finals, Old Leighlin will play Mt. Leinster Rangers in one-quarter final and Eire Og will play Kildavin-Clonegal in the second quarter-final.
The winners from the quarter finals go in to an open draw along with Palatine and Rathvilly for the semi-final pairings
Tinryland and Ballinabranna will contest the relegation final who ever loses drops back to the Intermediate championship for 2016
