The Fighting Cocks will stay playing Intermediate football next year after a food win over Ballon last night in the relegation playoff at the training centre in Fenagh.
Ballon drop to Junior A for next season after the 3-11 to 10 points defeat.

The Fighting Cocks only led by two points 1-4 to 0-5 at half time.
In the junior football ‘B’ championship quarter-final replay Tinryland got the better of Old Leighlin and advanced to the semi-final and a meeting with Asca.
The final score was Tinryland 1-14, Old Leighlin 2-9.
The minor football ‘A’ semi-finals are on this Thursday evening at Netwatch Carlow Training Centre Fenagh at 7-30
Eire Og play Mt. Leinster Rngs and Rathvilly play Palatine
Both matches start at 7-30.
