Investment will make Hacketstown fire station one of top centres for training in Europe

€1million will be spent to make a local fire station a top training facility.

3 acres near the existing fire station in Hacketstown have been bought and plans to develop them will go on public display now for locals to view.

Carlow Fire Chief, Ger Guerin told KCLR the investment will make it one of the best centres in Europe for training.

And he said that this upgrade will also benefit the economy locally as more people will be coming to the centre
